In the current business climate where my reality is checking email starting at 630a each day, working on three other things while attempting to participate in conference calls, and checking email up until bed time, how refreshing it was to do our Liberation Day in Lake Leelanau, Michigan.  To sit on the porch of a bed and breakfast and talk about the major changes we have worked through over the past 8 months was an eye-opening look back on how much of that change you have helped me make.  Mixing in some fun, walking around and sharing our new journeys to improved health was the perfect blend to keep energy up as we covered so many other topics.

For me, it was a total recharge because we could flow the conversation around the important items without distraction or interruption by “work”.  Since you and I have worked together for a while, we could go right to the heart of each topic, and I emphasize heart because you truly know and support what I am trying to build in my organization, with my family and with myself.  To bring closure to the stress of making major organizational changes to the emotion of talking about my daughter encouraging me to get in control of my health are not areas that I can cover with any other person to the level that I can with you, my coach.

Coming out of the day with defined action items based on all the areas we covered during the day has given me a clear game plan on addressing those areas where I will continue to see impact in my organization and on myself.  It is a blessing to be involved with you.

“Charrise,

I wanted to drop you a quick note of thanks, big thanks!  The day we spent together, I dare say, was nothing short of amazing.

You know that I am a self proclaimed seminar and self improvement junkie.  From Tony Robbins to Wayne Dyer, the list goes on.  Seminars, books, CDs, you name it.  They all helped in some way and gave me great knowledge, but to say there was a transformation, that never happened.  So going into our day, my expectation was for a good day, but really I felt that nothing has worked before, why should this.  I can say it did.

Let me share where I see the differences.  First I think the day together, just the two of us allows us to get to a place no seminar or CDs or 6 month coaching program can.  By noon, I think you knew more about me and how I tick than anyone in my world.  And since I let so few in, that is big.

That is a good thing.  It was not like we had this crazy therapy session, not that at all.  Actually, it really wasn’t even close to that.  It was more that you guided what I already know about myself and about what I want, to a place where I could see the real me.  The time spent allowed me to open up and share.  And that allowed you to guide and me to see where I block myself and where I am my own worst enemy.

The most glaring change was almost immediate.  Well by afternoon that day.  I am successful in my business by most people’s standards.   You know that.  I am successful in my relationships by most people’s standards, being with the same person for almost 26 years. Yet I have lived my life in a world of should’s.  What I should be done?  I should be doing this?  I should have done this?  Where I should be?  What goals I should have?  I should be thinner… The list goes on.  These thoughts engulfed my life.  Driving, walking, showering… playing with my girls.. you name it, those should would be racing through my head.

I can say that those “shoulds” still creep in, but they are pretty much gone.  It is just like they are gone.  It is amazing.  I still have goals and dreams and intentions, yet the thoughts of what I should be doing is gone.  It is more, do I want to do it, then do it.  If I don’t, then don’t.  Beating self up is just gone.   I woke up the day after my liberation day and my mind was blank.  In my 44 years that has NEVER happened.  It was pure peace and that was an incredible feeling to me.

I have always said I wanted to be more present.  More present for my partner, more present for my daughters, more present for fiends and more present for those I meet.  I feel that I am more present and that is such a gift to me.  It allows me to hear people and maybe touch them in a way I didn’t before.  Thank you for that!

My intention when I called you was to get myself to take action.  When I think about it, I wanted to get the should list checked off.  What I find interesting is that the action I am now taking is not forced.  I am doing more than I have in years and I am just letting it flow.  I was looking for a magic pill and that pill is already in me.  I just needed you to guide me to a place where I could find it and accept it.  I have all the tools in me to be the best me.  To love and be loved.  To share of myself and to be present and connect with people at a much more meaningful level.

What a gift you have given me!  You really are a treasure and anyone who is considering a Liberation Day with you would be crazy to not take you up on it.

I consider myself lucky that you spent that day with me!
